After many years acting and performing my interests changed to backstage.  As a member of the local theatre’s youth theatre I was able to work with the resident society, furthering my skills before beginning professional training to advance my knowledge.

As an original member of the choir Only Boys Aloud gave me the opportunity to enjoy many experiences that I would not have the opportunity to encounter including recording an album, reaching the Britain Got Talent finals and appearing on stage alongside many celebrities. But through these opportunities allowed me to further explore the backstage world of entertainment as well as working as a team and making many life long friends.

So far in my career I have gained experience in a variety of theatre including dance, opera, touring, small and large scale, educational and musical theatre. I have knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation in regards to working safely within the theatre. I am able to work alone as well as within a team.  During my training I was required to delegate responsibility within the stage management department, to create a safe working environment for the company and to allow smooth running of the day-to-day operation of the theatre.

During my time in a part-time job I was able to work my way up to a managerial role within a stadium.  This job gave me the opportunity to improve my time keeping skill when working on match days and to be an effective team leader, in charge of several retail units within the stadium. In this role I had to adhere to several Heath and Safety requirements, ensuring all members of my team also adhere to as well. I am able to follow this whilst working within Stage Management.
